Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes begins manufacturing

Production on the subsequent chapter within the Planet of the Apes franchise has formally began. Titled Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the film began filming in Sydney, New South Wales, on the iconic Fox Studios Australia, which has been newly renamed Disney Studios Australia, reported leisure information web site Variety.

The Maze Runner director Wes Ball is directing the film, which begins an all-new chapter within the franchise, choosing up a few years after the conclusion of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes.

The movie will characteristic an ensemble forged of Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Peter Macon, Eka Darville and Kevin Durand. The screenplay is by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver and Patrick Aison. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes can be produced by Joe Hartwick Jr, Jaffa, Silver and Jason Reed with Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping as govt producers.

Planet of the Apes is among the first main Fox franchises to be redeveloped following the Disney deal. The franchise relies on the 1963 novel by Pierre Boulle. The first Planet of the Apes movie was launched in 1968, adopted by a sequence of sequels and a TV present.

In 2001, Tim Burton directed a remake, starring Mark Wahlberg. A brand new trilogy of prequel movies began in 2011 with Rupert Wyatt’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes, adopted by 2014’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes, which was launched in 2017.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes can be launched in 2024.
