Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan star in ‘Kesari Chapter 2,’ which received positive feedback in cinemas. The film, based on the book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire,’ focuses on C Sankaran Nair’s legal challenge against the British Crown for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ marks the directorial debut of Karan Singh Tyagi. After its theatrical run, the movie is set to release on OTT platforms.
‘Kesari Chapter 2’ will be available on JioHotstar starting June 13. Announcing the release, JioHotstar wrote, “The story you know, the truth you don’t! Witness the aftermath of Jallianwala Bagh, in #KesariChapter2 streaming June 13 on JioHotstar.”
The film also received support from celebrities and politicians. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recognized C Sankaran Nair’s contributions. Akshay Kumar shared the Prime Minister’s video on Instagram and stated, “Thank you Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for remembering the great Chettur Sankaran Nair ji and his contribution to our freedom struggle. It is so important that we as a nation, especially the younger generation values the great women and men who fought valiantly to ensure that we breathe in a free country! The cast includes Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, Alexx O’Nell, Amit Sial, Mark Bennington, and Krish Rao. Akshay Kumar also shared behind-the-scenes content before the film’s launch, noting, “You must have heard many stories but this is a storm. C.
