Bobby Deol, currently involved in Aryan Khan’s ‘The Bads of Bollywood,’ has experienced a career renaissance, especially after the success of ‘Animal’ in 2023. This has brought him back into the limelight, making him a prominent figure at Bollywood gatherings. Yet, there was a time when his interactions were extremely limited. His father, the veteran actor Dharmendra, restricted his outings, preventing him from attending parties and social events.
Bobby discussed these limitations in a recent podcast, revealing the reasoning behind them. He mentioned that his father’s protective nature was the primary motivator. He was not allowed to go anywhere except school and home. This extended to activities like learning to ride a bicycle, which took place within the house.
Bobby also recalled a childhood incident that heightened his father’s concerns. During his sixth grade, a friend was kidnapped. Though the friend was eventually found, the event led to Dharmendra’s decision to ensure Bobby’s safety by restricting his movements.
