Geoffrey Rush to painting comic Groucho Marx in biopic ‘Raised Eyebrows’

LOS ANGELES: Veteran actor Geoffrey Rush can be taking part in iconic comic Groucho Marx within the upcoming biographical movie “Raised Eyebrows”.

Also starring Charlie Plummer and Sienna Miller, the movie comes from writer-director Oren Moverman, who earlier labored on motion pictures similar to “The Messenger” and “Time Out of Mind”.

According to Variety, the film is an adaptation of Steve Stoliar’s memoir “Raised Eyebrows: My Years Inside Groucho’s House”.

“Raised Eyebrows” is ready between 1973 and 1977 and stars Plummer as Stoliar, who’s employed by Erin Fleming (Miller) to work with an ageing and frail Groucho Marx (Rush).

Fleming was accountable for Marx’s private {and professional} life as his supervisor, and the 2 had a controversial relationship.

Moverman has labored on the “Raising Eyebrows” screenplay with Stoliar.

The filmmaker may also produce the challenge alongside Cold Iron Pictures CEO Miranda Bailey.

Marx was a comic, TV host, and actor who made a number of critically acclaimed comedies together with his brothers within the Nineteen Thirties, and has since been extensively thought to be one in all America’s best comedic abilities.

Over the course of the Nineteen Thirties and 40s, Groucho and his brothers made 13 comedies collectively, a lot of which have since been deemed classics of the style.
