Farhan Akhtar, a well-regarded director and actor, was slated to direct a major war film with Salman Khan. After having directed both Aamir Khan in ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and Shah Rukh Khan in the ‘Don’ franchise, Akhtar aimed to include Salman Khan in his directorial efforts. The war film never materialized.
Farhan Akhtar had developed a concept centered on the 1962 India-China war and had selected Salman Khan for the leading role. Despite establishing contact, the project was abandoned. The story had the potential to be a blockbuster, but the film was shelved before production could begin.
