Rati Pandey was born in Assam on September 11, 1982, and her family moved to Patna when she was seven. She attended school in Patna, where she was a classmate of a sister of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
After her graduation from Delhi University, Rati participated in Idea Zee Cinestars ki Khoj in 2006. This opened doors to her acting career, starting with a role in CID. She then featured in the horror show ‘Raat Hone Ko Hai’ on Sahara One and various commercials. She appeared in shows such as ‘Shaadi Street’ and ‘Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai’.
