Rumors of Diljit Dosanjh being ousted from ‘Border 2’ have been put to rest by the actor himself. The speculation arose due to the controversy surrounding his association with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film ‘Sardaar Ji 3.’ Facing criticism and calls for a ban on his future projects, Dosanjh used Instagram to make a clear statement. The post featured a BTS video of the actor wearing army badges with his name, with the caption ‘Border 2’ accompanied by the patriotic song ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ from the original ‘Border’ film. This confirmed his continued involvement in the film. The backlash stemmed from his work with Hania Aamir, and ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ saw a limited release, only premiering overseas. The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) also took action, writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requesting the CBFC to deny certification for his upcoming projects. ‘Border 2’ also features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Suniel Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna, Sonam Bajwa, Vinali Bhatnagar, Paramvir Cheema, Nishan Singh, Guneet Sandhu, Mouni Roy, and Sai Dibyajyoti Behera.
