The box office witnessed a major clash on August 14, 2025, with the release of ‘War 2’, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, and Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’. Both films were among the most anticipated releases of the year, drawing huge crowds and achieving impressive box office numbers. Although both experienced a decrease in collections during the weekdays following a strong opening weekend, they both managed to surpass the Rs 200 crore mark within their first week. Now, with early estimates for Day 9 available, the competition continues into the second weekend.
