The box office saw a significant clash on August 14, 2025, as ‘War 2’, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, went head-to-head with Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’. Both films, major releases of the year, attracted large audiences and generated impressive financial results, quickly becoming two of the year’s biggest hits. After a strong debut weekend, both movies saw a reduction in their weekday collections, but they both managed to exceed Rs 200 crore within their first week. Early estimates for Day 8 have been released, highlighting the ongoing battle as the films enter their second weekend.
