The success or failure of a film often becomes clear within a week. This is the case for Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s ‘Dhadak 2’, which were released on August 1st. After one week, it’s unlikely either film will be considered a hit, and their performance is concerning.
The 7th-day box office collections show the weak performance of both films. Remarkably, ‘Saiyaara’ earned more on its 21st day than ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’ made on their 7th day.
‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’ are facing challenges, while ‘Saiyaara’ enjoys success. The downward trend has started for both films. ‘Dhadak 2’ collected only 1 crore on its seventh day, and its total for the week is 16.44 crore.
‘Son of Sardar 2’ also underperformed. It earned 1.40 crore on its seventh day, with a total of 32.89 crore in one week. This is not a good outcome for Ajay, and the film seems likely to be a flop.
‘Saiyaara’ continues its successful run. It earned more on its 21st day than ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’, with 1.85 crore. The film’s total in India is now 308.45 crore, and it has surpassed 500 crore worldwide.
Ahaan Pandey’s ‘Saiyaara’ is outperforming both Ajay and Siddhant’s films. Both ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’ are far from their budgets. Ajay’s film’s budget is 100 crore and Siddhant’s is around 40-50 crore, and both films now appear to be struggling at the box office.
