The action movie ‘Baaghi 4’, starring Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, and Harnaaz Sandhu, was released alongside the political drama ‘The Bengal Files’ directed by Vivek Agnihotri. ‘Baaghi 4’ has attracted a large audience with its action and star power, while ‘The Bengal Files’ has focused on its political narrative. The initial box office numbers suggest ‘Baaghi 4’ is performing better.
‘Baaghi 4’ earned approximately ₹4 crore on its fifth day, Tuesday, which is a decrease from the ₹4.5 crore made on Monday. The film opened with ₹12 crore on Friday, followed by ₹19.25 crore on Saturday and Sunday combined. Adding Tuesday’s collections, the total net collection in India has reached ₹39.75 crores, which is close to the ₹40 crore mark.
The Hindi occupancy rate for the film on September 10 was 21.71%, which is higher than the 15.56% recorded on the fourth day. The attendance breakdown throughout the day was as follows: 9.15% in the morning, 18.38% in the afternoon, 22.59% in the evening, and 36.72% at night.
On the other hand, ‘The Bengal Files’ has not yet reached the ₹10 crore mark. On Monday, the film earned ₹1.15 crores, which slightly increased to ₹1.29 crores on Tuesday. Its total collection so far is ₹9.19 crores.
The plot of ‘Baaghi 4’ centers on Ronnie as he struggles between reality and illusion. The story takes a turn after he finds out about his girlfriend’s brutal murder.
‘Baaghi 4’ is currently doing well at the box office. The film’s ability to cross the ₹40 crore mark remains to be seen. ‘The Bengal Files’ will have to try harder to achieve double-digit collections.
