A fire broke out on the set of the popular television series ‘Anupamaa’ on Monday, June 23, in Mumbai’s Goregaon East Film City. The fire was reported to the fire brigade at approximately 6:10 AM. The fire damaged a substantial portion of the set, including electrical wiring, plastics, iron, decoration materials, cameras, costumes, and lighting systems, affecting approximately 5,000 square feet. The producers, Shahi Production, issued an official statement to address the incident, assuring that there were no casualties. They also urged the public to avoid spreading false information and to wait for official updates. The production house stated that no unit members were present on the set at the time of the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The production company expressed its appreciation for the support from industry colleagues and well-wishers during this difficult time. The AICWA has demanded that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis initiate a high-level investigation.
