Aamir Khan is launching a unique platform to assist filmmakers. Following the release of his film ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ on YouTube after its theatrical run, Khan is taking further steps to support the film industry. ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ was made available on YouTube for ₹100, a decision made after Khan turned down a ₹125 crore offer from an OTT platform. The actor will be releasing all his production house films on his YouTube channel, which he calls ‘Janta Ka Theatre.’ Beyond his own projects, Khan is extending an invitation to filmmakers whose films are struggling to find a release. During a conversation, Khan announced, ‘If you have a film that is ready, but no one wants to release it, and you believe your film is good, then write to the Aamir Khan team.’ If selected, the film will be featured on the ‘Janta Ka Theatre’ channel, and filmmakers will be compensated if the audience enjoys the film.
