UAE-bound Air Arabia flight makes emergency touchdown in Ahmedabad

An Air Arabia plane flying from Chittagong in Bangladesh to Abu Dhabi, UAE, made an emergency touchdown at Ahmedabad airport after one in every of its engines failed mid-air, a senior DGCA official mentioned Tuesday.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an inquiry. The official mentioned that the flight, operated on a five-year previous Airbus A320, landed safely at Ahmedabad round 9.25pm Monday.

“None of the passengers or crew members had been injured and the plane landed safely, the official added.
