This decision will only apply to minor e-challans that have passed their deadlines. Serious offenses such as tax arrears, road accidents, cases related to IPC sections, and challans for drunk driving will be excluded from this waiver. Auto drivers, taxi drivers, and transport business owners will particularly benefit from this decision. They will be relieved from legal troubles and service interruptions caused by old challans. The burden of cases on lakhs of vehicle owners will be lifted, and they will be able to complete their vehicle-related work without any problems.
