VinFast is preparing to launch its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India, with the official launch date set for September 6, 2025. These models, designed to compete in the growing electric vehicle market, were first unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo held earlier this year in Delhi.
Potential buyers were given the opportunity to book the vehicles before the official launch, requiring a token amount of Rs 21,000. Though initial expectations were set for an August release, the official date has been confirmed for early September.
### VinFast VF7 Features
The VinFast VF7 SUV will be available in three different trims: Earth, Wind, and Sky. The vehicle will also come in six different colors, including Jet Black, Desat Silver, Infinity Blank, Crimson Red, Zenith Gray, and Urban Mint, all aimed at enhancing its appearance and reflecting VinFast’s design language. The front of the car features DRLs that stretch across the width and meet in the center to form a ‘V’ shape, which highlights the brand’s badge.
### VinFast VF7 Battery and Drive
The VF7 will be available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations, with a 70.8kWh battery pack. The 2WD model will have a front engine producing 204 hp, whereas the AWD variant will have a rear motor, with a combined output of 350 hp and 500 Nm. The VF7 AWD is expected to have a WLTP range of 431 km, while the front-wheel-drive version is estimated to offer 450 km.
### VinFast VF 6 Design and Specifications
The VinFast VF6 showcases a distinct design, with LED daytime running lights at the front. These lights flow towards the center, emphasizing the ‘V’ logo. The front grille features a honeycomb pattern, with large air dams and black cladding. The rear of the VF6 has an LED strip taillight, reflecting the design of the front.
### VinFast VF 6 Battery and Range
The VF6 is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery, which provides power to a 204 hp motor placed on the front axle. While the ARAI range has not been released, the vehicle has a WLTP-rated range of 480 km.
