Vida, the electric two-wheeler division of Hero MotoCorp, is offering new value-added services to its customers. This announcement, which precedes the festive season in India, encompasses a buyback plan, extended warranty coverage, and unlimited fast-charging benefits. Vida says that these new offerings aim to minimize the total cost of ownership and reinforce long-term confidence. The Assured Buyback program enables customers to get back up to 67.5% of the ex-showroom price after three years. This offers customers an exit strategy while making it easier for them to purchase a new scooter.
Vida is also launching an extended warranty program. The warranty covers up to 5 years or 75,000 km and includes protection for more than 11 critical components. In addition to the warranty, a battery warranty valid for 5 years or 60,000 km is included. The battery warranty can also be extended to cover replacement and degradation issues to help maintain long-term performance.
The brand has introduced Vida Edge, a subscription plan for connectivity and fast charging. Subscribers will gain access to a network of 3,600 charging stations and over 40 connected features, such as live tracking, ride statistics, and OTA updates. Furthermore, Vida is offering a 24/7 roadside assistance package nationwide, including assistance for flat tires, battery problems, and mechanical failures.
Hero sold more than 10,000 e-scooters in July, and the performance improved even further in August. Driven by demand for the new Vida VX2 Go and Plus scooters, the company’s electric two-wheeler (e-2W) market share is now 13 percent. Hero is on track to sell more than 1 lakh electric two-wheelers annually for the first time.
