TVS Motor will launch the NTorq 150 on September 1st, entering the competitive 150cc scooter market. The NTorq, which debuted in 2018, has established itself in the 125cc segment, known for its design and connectivity. The teaser showcases that the NTorq 150 will incorporate the original design elements, but with sharper lines and a more modern front end. LED lighting, including quad-projector headlights and T-shaped DRLs, will contribute to the scooter’s road presence.
While the engine specifications have not been fully disclosed, it is anticipated that the scooter will have a 150cc engine, which should produce about 12 bhp. The NTorq 150 will compete with models like the Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SR 160, and Hero’s upcoming Zoom 160. The new scooter may feature 14-inch wheels, a rear disc brake, and a smart connected system with a TFT screen, offering various ride modes and connectivity features. With the slogan, “Don’t feel the same,” TVS is targeting thrill-seekers. Deliveries are expected to start shortly after the official launch. The scooter might also be equipped with 14-inch alloy wheels on both sides, which would be a first for a TVS scooter.
The original NTorq 125, introduced in 2018, has dominated the sporty 125cc scooter segment in India for seven years, receiving updates and special editions like the Marvel-inspired Super Squad variant. The new NTorq 150 aims to build on this success, offering more power, larger wheels, and a more bold style.
