Large cars are now taxed at 40%. Previously, the combined GST and cess resulted in higher taxes. The overall tax burden has been reduced by 3% to 10%. Luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, and Jaguar Land Rover previously faced a 50% tax rate; now, they will be taxed at a flat 40%, which is expected to lower their prices significantly.
