Tata Motors has updated the Tata Punch EV, India’s best-selling electric car, with fast charging technology and new color options. The car will now be available in two new colors: Pure Grey and Supernova Copper. With the fast-charging feature, the Tata Punch EV can gain a 90 km range with a 15-minute charge, which is comparable to the time it takes to finish a cup of tea at a charging station.
With the recent update, the Tata Punch EV now supports fast charging. This electric car can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 40 minutes. The Punch EV can also achieve a 90-kilometer range in 15 minutes using a 50-kilowatt DC fast charger. However, fast charging is available only on the long-range variant.
**Battery and Range Details**
The Tata Punch EV is available in two battery pack options. The mid-range version features a 25 kWh battery, offering a range of 265 km on a single charge. The long-range version is equipped with a 35 kWh battery, providing a range of 365 km on a single charge. The mid-range model is powered by a single electric motor that delivers 80 bhp and 114 Nm of torque. The long-range model has a more powerful motor, generating 120 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. The electric SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 140 km/h.

The Punch EV is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital console, an air purifier, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, and an electric sunroof. Safety features include six airbags, ESP, an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function, and more.
