A passenger on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru had an unpleasant surprise during their journey: they were stuck inside the aircraft’s lavatory for the whole flight. The airline has offered an apology and a refund. The passenger was finally freed after the plane touched down in Bengaluru, with ground staff and engineers managing to open the malfunctioning door.
The incident occurred on a Monday night flight, delayed by two hours. A passenger in seat 14D entered the lavatory soon after takeoff. The door lock failed, and the passenger was unable to exit, leading to a mid-air issue. When attempts to unlock the door failed, the crew wrote a handwritten note and slipped it under the door, telling the passenger not to panic and to stay seated. The note quickly became a social media sensation, generating humorous comments. The flight arrived in Bengaluru at approximately 3:45 AM. The airline has expressed regret and apologized for the inconvenience caused.
