The DesertX Rally carries an ex-showroom price of Rs 23.71 lakh, positioning it as the flagship model in the Desert X lineup. This bike is uniquely designed with a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, making it stand out in the Ducati range for off-road capabilities. The bike’s design also highlights its adventurous spirit.
With a focus on off-road capability, the DesertX Rally features a robust suspension system and a beak-style front mudguard. The Kayaba suspension provides 20 mm of travel in both the front and rear, optimizing handling and comfort on various terrains. The central-spoke wheels are built for durability, especially when navigating challenging trails.
Despite additions like a forged carbon sump guard, refined gear pedals, and a stronger rear brake lever, the DesertX Rally weighs only 1 kg more than the standard version. The engine is a 937 cc Ducati Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder, delivering 108 bhp and 92 Nm of torque, ensuring powerful performance, with capabilities for highway cruising.
The bike comes with six riding modes—Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, Enduro, and Rally. These modes allow for adaptable performance based on riding conditions. Safety features include cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, and Ducati Wheelie Control. It also features a 5-inch color TFT display, which supports smartphone connectivity through the Ducati Multimedia System, including music playback, call management, and optional turn-by-turn navigation.
