Renault India is actively restructuring its Indian operations, with the highly anticipated return of the Duster SUV. Following recent facelifts of existing models like the Triber and Kiger, the French automaker is set to reintroduce the Duster. Though official launch specifics are pending, early 2026 is the projected timeframe. The third-generation Duster has already been launched in South Africa, with a price point around ₹23.36 lakh. Renault’s lineup has lacked the Duster since 2022, an absence keenly felt given the competitiveness of the compact and mid-size SUV market. The Duster will face competition from vehicles such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Citroën C3 Aircross. The new Duster will utilize the CMF-B modular platform and offer consumers the choice of three powertrains: a 1.6-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine, a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, and a 1.0-litre petrol-LPG dual-fuel engine.
