The updated Renault Kiger SUV facelift will launch on August 24th, as revealed by Renault India through a teaser campaign. This signifies a notable refresh for the sub-compact SUV launched in 2021, coinciding with a period of rapid growth and intense competition in the compact SUV market.
The facelift is expected to include feature and design enhancements, mirroring the updates seen in the Nissan Magnite. Key competitors will include the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Nissan Magnite. The pricing is projected to be slightly higher than the existing model.
Design updates teased include a new Lime Green color, an updated brand logo, a new grille, revised bumpers, sleek headlamps, and new LED DRLs. The rear will likely showcase new LED tail lamps.
The existing engine options, including the 1.0-liter naturally aspirated and 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engines, will be retained, with manual, AMT, and CVT transmission options. A CNG version, available through dealer fitment, will also be offered. Interior upgrades are anticipated, encompassing the use of soft-touch materials, new upholstery, and dashboard modifications. The inclusion of features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver display, wireless charging, and automatic climate control is possible. The car may include six airbags.
