The month of September 2025 is set to be a significant one for car enthusiasts, with several new vehicle launches planned. With the festive season approaching, around five new cars are expected to be launched, making it a key period for the automotive industry. Maruti will initiate the launches, followed by VinFast, with Mahindra also planning a release. Here’s a preview of the vehicles anticipated for September 2025.
Maruti Escudo
Maruti is preparing to launch a new SUV manufactured in India, which will be placed between the Brezza and Grand Vitara models. It will be available through Arena showrooms. The possible names for this SUV include Escudo, Victorious, or Saber. The vehicle could be built on Suzuki’s Global C platform, but with modifications to provide a longer wheelbase and improved cabin space.
VinFast VF6
VinFast, the Vietnamese EV company, will be entering the Indian market with the VF6. Production of this SUV has recently started at the VinFast plant located in Tamil Nadu. The VF6 will be offered in two variants, along with six exterior color options and two interior themes, which will depend on the specific variant.
VinFast VF7
In addition to the VF6, VinFast is also set to launch the VF7, another electric SUV. Both of these models were initially displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo held in early 2025. The VF7 is planned to be offered in three variants, with a range of six exterior color options and two interior design themes.
Mahindra Thar Facelift
The Mahindra Thar 3-door model, which was first introduced in 2020, will be receiving a facelift. This update is scheduled to be launched in September 2025, bringing new features and a refreshed design. The updated Thar will incorporate design elements similar to the Thar Rocks, which will include circular LED headlights and new alloy wheels. Features expected include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch full-digital driver display, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and TPMS.
