The new Renault Duster is scheduled to debut in India in early 2026, with production at the Chennai plant. The launch will start with petrol engine options, including turbo-petrol variants. Hybrid versions are expected to follow. Globally, the Duster’s hybrid setup includes a 1.6-liter petrol engine and two electric motors, generating approximately 140Hp. The Duster will be built on the CMF-B platform, which supports various powertrain options like hybrid and electric. The Indian version will likely be a rebadged Dacia Duster, offering three powertrain options: Hybrid 140, TCE 130, and Bi-Fuel 100. The launch will likely commence with a petrol variant, followed by hybrid and CNG options. The TCE 130 option includes a 4×4 system and a mild hybrid setup featuring a 48V battery and a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine. A CNG/LPG variant is also expected, potentially adapted for CNG in India. The Hybrid 140 powertrain will incorporate a new petrol engine and a hybrid system with two electric motors and an automatic transmission.
