A SpiceJet flyer on a Mumbai to Bengaluru flight had an unfortunate experience as they were stuck in the lavatory for the entire journey. The airline apologized to the passenger and has reportedly offered a refund. This incident has caused amusement and disbelief among people.
The passenger was eventually rescued after the flight landed in Bengaluru. Ground staff and engineers intervened and opened the jammed toilet door.
The incident reportedly happened on Monday night. The Mumbai-Bengaluru flight was delayed and departed from Mumbai Airport at 2:10 AM, departing late from its scheduled 10:55 PM departure.
The passenger, from seat number 14D, went to the restroom after takeoff but was unable to open the door due to a faulty lock, resulting in a mid-air predicament. The crew attempted to open the door, but to no avail.
The crew came up with a solution to comfort the distressed passenger, slipping a handwritten note through the gap of the door. The note instructed the passenger not to panic and to stay seated until the flight landed in Bengaluru. The note’s photo went viral, with many netizens amused by the situation and impressed by the handwriting.
The flight landed in Bengaluru around 3:45 AM. Following landing, airport engineers opened the door. The airline issued an apology to the passenger and expressed regret for the inconvenience.
