A passenger aboard a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru faced an embarrassing situation when they were trapped in the aircraft’s restroom for the entire flight duration. The airline has apologized to the affected passenger and reportedly offered a refund following the incident, which has caused quite a stir online.
The passenger was freed after the flight landed in Bengaluru, with ground staff and engineers successfully opening the locked toilet door. The event reportedly took place on a Monday night flight that was delayed by two hours. The flight finally took off from Mumbai at 2:10 AM.
The passenger, occupying seat 14D, went to the restroom shortly after takeoff and found themselves unable to exit due to a jammed lock. The crew attempted to resolve the issue. Finding no solution, the crew wrote a handwritten note and slipped it under the door, advising the passenger to remain in the toilet until landing.
The crew’s note went viral, prompting widespread amusement among netizens who also complimented the penmanship. The flight landed in Bengaluru at around 3:45 AM. The airline issued an apology for the inconvenience caused to the passenger.
