The Mahindra Vision S concept SUV has been officially revealed. The new SUV concept is likely to join the Mahindra Scorpio lineup. The Vision S was showcased alongside the Vision X, T, and SXT concepts. The Vision S’s design includes LED headlights, an LED-enhanced grille, and the signature twin peaks logo. The bumper includes a radar unit and parking sensors. It also features roof-mounted lights and pixel-shaped fog lamps. For off-road use, the Vision S has thick cladding along the doors and wheel arches and runs on 19-inch wheels. Side-mounted cameras are used instead of conventional ORVMs. In the rear, inverted tail lamps and a spare wheel with Vision S branding are present. The interior introduces a new layout, including a new steering wheel with VISION S lettering, a fully digital driver’s display, and an infotainment screen that will feature Mahindra’s new NU UX system, including wireless smartphone connectivity. The cabin boasts dual-tone upholstery, redesigned door trims, premium seats, a panoramic sunroof, and grab handles. The Vision S is based on Mahindra’s NU-IQ platform. This platform is designed to fit SUVs that are 3,990 mm to 4,320 mm in length and can support petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains. It is also compatible with front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive layouts. The concept suggests an ICE version is likely, potentially with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Other features like variable-ratio steering are expected.
