Royal Enfield is preparing to launch an electric version of its popular Himalayan adventure motorcycle. Testing of the E-Himalayan has been spotted in Ladakh, a challenging location, signifying the bike’s development is progressing. The electric Himalayan was introduced at the 2023 EICMA show in Milan. The test vehicles seemed to be close to production readiness. The bike features design modifications to accommodate the electric powertrain, including a new seat, battery placement, and a large tank. Additional features include an Ohlins Monoshock suspension, Nissin disc brakes, a custom aluminum frame, and a dashboard with an ECU Master display. Royal Enfield has not released information regarding the electric Himalayan’s launch date.
