A new KTM RC model, possibly the RC 490, is under development and may feature a CFMoto engine and chassis. The bike is nearing production, with test vehicles being evaluated. If the engine and chassis are from CFMoto, there is some uncertainty around its availability in India. The future of the model in the Indian market is unclear, especially regarding local assembly and pricing. The current RC 390 continues to use an older engine, so KTM may introduce a new engine for the next generation of RC bikes.
