With the recent debut of the Kia Carens Clavis, Kia is poised to update the Seltos with a facelift. The updated Seltos has been spotted during testing, providing insights into its new design. Test mules, spotted in India, show new headlights and front fascia alterations. The new Seltos is expected to launch early next year.
Exterior modifications draw inspiration from the EV9 and Syros. The test vehicle exhibits an extended wheelbase, a concave grill between the headlights, and redesigned fog light housings. The rear is anticipated to undergo a makeover, potentially including a continuous bar light design. Interior updates are also expected, with design influences from higher-end Kia models.
Engine options are likely to stay the same, featuring a 115Hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol, a 160Hp 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and a 116Hp 1.5-liter diesel. A hybrid powertrain is also in consideration, potentially electrifying the 1.5-liter NA petrol engine. The updated Seltos will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Tata Curvv.
