The Kia Seltos is undergoing a refresh, with recent test vehicle sightings offering a preview of upcoming changes. Though camouflaged, the test mule revealed updated headlights and a revised front fascia, suggesting a refreshed exterior design. The updated Seltos is anticipated to launch early next year.
The exterior design is expected to adopt design cues from the EV9 and Syros models. The test vehicle featured typical SUV styling, including an extended wheelbase. Key changes include a concave grille between the headlights, and updated fog light housings. The rear is expected to feature new design elements, potentially with a continuous bar light.
The interior will also be redesigned, with the dashboard and other interior features drawing inspiration from higher-end Kia models.
Kia plans to retain similar engine options for the facelifted model. These are expected to include a 115Hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 160Hp 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, and a 116Hp 1.5-liter diesel engine. A new hybrid powertrain may also be introduced in India. There’s a possibility that the 1.5-liter NA petrol engine will be electrified. The updated Seltos will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Tata Curvv.
