Kawasaki is preparing to release the KLE 500 adventure bike, following its initial unveiling at EICMA 2024. The teaser campaign showcased key features, including a 21-inch front wheel. A new teaser video indicates that the official launch is approaching, with a ‘Coming Soon’ announcement.
The KLE 500 will likely be powered by the 451cc parallel-twin engine from the Ninja 500, which produces 45.4hp and 42.6Nm of torque. The motorcycle is designed for adventure riding with an updated chassis.
Design highlights include a 21-inch front wheel, USD front forks, and a Nissin single front disc brake. Additional details revealed via the new video are a steel box-section swingarm, spoked wheels with tube tires, and an exhaust design reminiscent of the Ninja 500.
The engine is expected to deliver performance similar to the Ninja 500, providing good mid-range power and torque suited for both city and highway riding. The KLE 500 is targeted at adventure and touring enthusiasts.
The official launch is planned for EICMA 2025, and sales in India are expected to begin in 2026. The estimated price point is around ₹6 lakh+.
If Kawasaki India proceeds with local manufacturing, similar to the KLX230, the KLE 500 could become a significant contender in the adventure bike market in India.
