KTM has launched the 160 Duke in India, its most budget-friendly motorcycle, with an ex-showroom price of ₹1.85 lakh. This new model is the most accessible in the KTM range and is positioned below the KTM 200 Duke. It aims to compete with bikes such as the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha MT-15 V2.0, and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
The KTM India lineup currently includes the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, KTM 890 Duke R, KTM 390 Duke, KTM 250 Duke, and KTM 200 Duke. The KTM 125 Duke was previously available but was discontinued in March 2025. The 160 Duke is the newest addition to this family.

The KTM 160 Duke is priced at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a 10-year warranty, and financing options will be available to facilitate purchases. Deliveries to dealerships are planned to commence on August 12th. KTM highlights that the 160 Duke is more than just a regular motorcycle; it’s a sporty offering. The Duke series has already experienced significant sales growth, and the introduction of the 160 Duke is expected to drive further expansion. KTM is also working on the RC 160, which will be its most affordable RC bike, with a launch anticipated in the coming weeks.

The new 160 Duke reflects KTM’s design approach. It is a 160cc naked bike, offering a blend of high performance and a premium, sporty aesthetic. Key design elements include the signature KTM LED headlamp, sharp tank covers, a wide fuel tank, a sleek tail section, and LED taillights. Color schemes available are Orange-Black and Blue-White (with orange accents). The bike features a 5.0-inch LCD instrument cluster that supports smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call management, and music playback.
**Engine and Mechanical Specifications**
The 160 Duke is being promoted as one of the most potent 160cc bikes in India. It is powered by a 160cc liquid-cooled engine, sourced from the 200 Duke platform. This engine delivers 18.74 bhp and 15.5 Nm of torque. The forthcoming KTM RC 160 will share this engine and chassis. The bike features USD front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc.
