Honda has patented the 2025 iteration of its Scoopy scooter, raising the possibility of its launch in India. Honda frequently patents vehicles, sometimes solely for intellectual property rights (IPR) protection. However, some of these patented models are later launched. The patented Scoopy boasts a refreshed design, including a new front fascia, round LED headlight with daytime running lights (DRL), and a full LCD instrument cluster with eco, fuel consumption and service indicators. The overseas model runs on a 109.5 cc air-cooled engine that delivers around 9 Hp and 9.2 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission. The engine is also found in the Dio and Activa models in India. Despite the patent, there is a strong possibility that the Scoopy might not be launched in INDIA. The Scoopy is also sold in south East Asian markets.
