Hero, a prominent name in India’s two-wheeler market, is marking a significant milestone – 125 million units sold. The company, established through a joint venture between Hero and Honda, began with the iconic CD 100 motorcycle in 1985. To celebrate this achievement, special edition versions of the Splendor+, Passion+, and Vida VX2 have been released. These new editions showcase cosmetic enhancements to signify the accomplishment.
Hero quickly grew into one of India’s top-selling two-wheeler brands. In 1994, the company reached 1 lakh riders, and the best-selling Splendor was launched. The brand then achieved the 1 million unit milestone, and the Passion series was introduced. In 2005, Hero entered the scooter segment with the Pleasure line. By 2009, the company had rolled out almost 25 million units.
