Tesla is expanding its operations in India’s electric vehicle market, with plans to introduce its second retail center. The Tesla Experience Centre is scheduled to open on August 11 at the premium WorldMark 3 campus in Aerocity, Delhi. This center will provide services to customers in the National Capital Region, which is vital to India’s push for electric vehicles. This follows the recent opening of the first showroom in Mumbai on July 15 at Maker Maxity Mall. The Mumbai launch was attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who welcomed Tesla’s arrival and expressed interest in the establishment of R&D and manufacturing facilities. Construction of the Aerocity center is almost complete, with the estimated monthly rent around Rs 25 lakh. The brand’s premium positioning is already reflected in social media images. Tesla currently sells only the Model Y in India, with prices starting at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
