Exterior design updates include a more extended roofline, larger quarter glass, new 19-inch alloy wheels, a black rear spoiler, and a unique ‘Model YYY’ badge on the tailgate. Tesla also offers a new Starlight Gold paint option.
The interior design features a revised 2+2+2 seating layout, creating a more spacious cabin. The rear captain’s seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and electrically folding armrests. The third row features heating functionality. Technology upgrades include a larger 16-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 18-speaker audio system, pillar-mounted air vents, cup holders, and a black headliner for the second and third rows.
The Model Y L is exclusively available in a long-range variant, offering dual motors and all-wheel drive. The front motor delivers 190 bhp, and the rear motor delivers 265 bhp. This configuration allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 201 km/h. The car is powered by an 82 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 751 km on a single charge. The increased features contribute to a total weight of 2,088 kg, which is 96 kg more than the base model.
The new Tesla Model Y L is priced at 3,39,000 Yuan (approximately ₹41.17 lakh) in China. This new offering is intended to boost Tesla’s competitiveness in the Chinese market against local EV brands like BYD and NIO. The long-wheelbase Model Y is currently available only in China.
