Renault India has introduced the updated Kiger. The compact SUV’s prices begin at ₹6.29 lakh and peak at ₹11.29 lakh, maintaining the pricing of the earlier model. The outgoing Kiger was offered in four trim levels: RXE, RXL, RXT(O), and RXZ. The facelifted model continues with four trims, now named Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.
The new Kiger’s starting price shows a minor increase. The top-spec variant is competitively priced compared to the previous model. Special introductory pricing is in place for the mid-spec Techno CVT and the range-topping Turbo manual variants.
The Kiger maintains its engine lineup: a 72 hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT, and a 100 hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit with CVT or 5-speed manual gearbox. The prices for the Kiger NA AMT variants will be announced shortly.
Exterior enhancements include a redesigned front bumper, the new Renault logo, new paint schemes, updated C-pillar graphics, smoked reverse lights, and fresh 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
The cabin receives minor updates. Standard features now include six airbags across all variants, along with ESP, a tire-pressure monitor, and hill-start assist. The top-spec model adds features such as ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, automatic headlights and wipers, a wireless charger, and an 8-inch infotainment screen.
A comparative analysis presents the Renault Kiger alongside the Tata Altroz, Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20, highlighting their engine specifications, power outputs, torque figures, transmission options, and pricing.
