Aiden Markram key as South Africa lose fast wickets towards West Indies after taking large lead in 1st Test

By Sabyasachi Chowdhury: West Indies, on Wednesday, March 1, clawed their approach again into their opening Test towards South Africa. After conceding a large lead of 130 runs on the SuperSport Park in Centurion, the guests decreased the house staff to 49 for 4 of their second innings.

At Stumps on Day 2, South Africa have been main by 179 runs with six wickets left of their second innings. After bowling the hosts out for 342, the Caribbean staff seemed regular after Raymon Reifer and Jermaine Blackwood placed on 64 runs for the third wicket.

Reifer went on to attain 62 runs with seven fours. Anrich Nortje separated the duo by dismissing Blackwood, who scored 37 off 37. Marco Jansen, however, bought the prized wicket of Reifer. Once each batters perished, the West Indies innings went downhill.
