In a strong declaration, President Donald Trump warned Iran that any efforts to re-establish ballistic missile or nuclear programs would result in immediate U.S. military intervention. Addressing the press with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago, Trump confirmed the U.S. is closely monitoring Tehran’s compliance.
“We will knock them down. We will knock the hell out of them,” Trump reiterated, specifying potential U.S. responses to renewed Iranian efforts.
Trump confirmed that the U.S. would act without delay if Iran moves to revive its nuclear capabilities and would support Israel in targeting the country’s missile program. He also urged Iran to consider renewed diplomatic engagement.
“They could have made a deal the last time before we went through, you know, a big attack on them,” Trump recalled, implying missed opportunities for a peaceful resolution.
The President referenced earlier U.S. airstrikes that he claims effectively neutralized Iran’s nuclear program. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s recent briefing to Trump on Iran’s expanding ballistic missile activities underscored the gravity of the situation.
When questioned about U.S. policy on regime change in Iran, Trump opted not to answer directly, instead pointing to the country’s internal economic crisis and widespread public discontent, which he noted is often met with violent repression.
Regional security, including the Gaza peace plan’s subsequent stages, was also a key topic during the meeting, with Iran’s destabilizing influence a prominent concern.
