Bokaro Steel Plant has announced Priya Ranjan as its new Director-in-Charge, with his tenure beginning on December 24, 2025. This pivotal appointment was preceded by a recommendation from the Public Enterprises Selection Board on August 22, 2025. Ranjan previously held the position of Executive Director (Works) at the Bokaro facility. He is known for his extensive background as a technocrat and administrator, boasting over 30 years of experience within the SAIL conglomerate. Ranjan holds a B.Tech in Metallurgy and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, making him a well-rounded professional. His career started on September 24, 1994, at ISCO Steel Plant, where he spent nearly 23 years in diverse roles. In October 2017, he joined SAIL’s corporate office in New Delhi, contributing to the Chairman’s Secretariat in various capacities. Promoted to Executive Director on November 15, 2024, he took on responsibilities as Executive Director (Operation). His transition to Bokaro Steel Plant as Executive Director (Works) was effective August 26, 2025, following the PESB’s recommendation. As Director-in-Charge, Ranjan is poised to lead Bokaro Steel Plant’s operational strategy and future development, guiding it towards significant advancements.
