Chief Minister Hemanth Soren visited Pataraṭu Power Corporation Limited (PVNL) and had a courtesy meeting with the company’s CEO, Ashok Kumar Sahgal, HR head Mr. J. Rahman, senior manager Mr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, and DGMs Mr. J. Mahapatra. At the meeting, the CM was informed that commercial electricity generation has begun from a 800‑MW unit of PVNL as of 5 November 2025. The CM thanked him for the support from the state government that helped commence production on schedule. The CM remarked that with the unit online, Jharkhand has become self‑sufficient in electricity. He also invited the CM to tour the Pataraṭu Power Corporation Limited. The CM said that the energy sector is a priority for the government and that concrete steps are being taken to modernize and strengthen electricity infrastructure. The CM also told PVNL to take concrete initiatives for skill development of young people.
