On 28 December 2025, during the opening ceremony of Hockey India League 2025-26, Hockey India Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh formally invited Chief Minister Hemant Soren to attend as chief guest. The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s residence on Kanke Road, Ranchi.
