Ranchi is set to host a major Rotary District Conference from December 19th to 21st, a significant event bringing together Rotary leaders and members from Jharkhand and Bihar. The conference, organized by the Rotary Club of Ranchi, will unfold at the Ranchi Club premises and is projected to attract over 1500 participants from 125 Rotary clubs. The extensive preparations for this significant meet have been a year-long effort by Rotarians across Ranchi. The distinguished presence of Past Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta as the chief guest underscores the importance of this conference. Adding to the luster of the event will be special guests such as Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, Union Minister of State for Defence and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Jaykumar Rawal, Nilendu Kumar Singh, CMD of CCL, and Ravi Raman, Rotary International President’s Representative. The conference will also benefit from the wisdom and experience of Past Rotary International Director Kamal Sanghvi, Foundation Chairman Mahesh Kothari, senior IAS officer Rohit Singh, renowned actress Sudha Chandran, and cyber expert Mahima Bhalotiya. The agenda includes strategic discussions on enhancing Rotary’s social impact, planning new projects, strengthening club operations, and exploring future possibilities. Specialized sessions will address vital themes including education, public health, sanitation, and community service, creating a dynamic platform for learning and collaboration. Attendees will also enjoy diverse cultural presentations, including musical performances by the Rose Mary Group (Mumbai), Aadhishakti Musical Group, IFRM Group, and the traditional Chhau dance.
