Ramgarh is reeling from a brutal murder case after the dismembered body of a youth missing for three months was discovered. Sonu Kumar Ram, who vanished on September 17th, was located in fragmented form by police late Thursday night in Shibu Colony, Nehru Road. The investigation, which involved extensive searches and community-led protests, intensified when Sonu’s mobile phone’s last signal was traced to the vicinity of Ranjit Singh’s residence. Ranjit Singh, also known as ‘Nana Bhai’, was taken into custody and, under intense questioning, reportedly confessed to the murder. He confessed to killing Sonu and then dismembering his body, scattering the remains in various locations near his own home. The recovered body parts are believed to be Sonu’s, with formal identification pending forensic examination. Police have arrested a suspect and are actively investigating the motive, with initial indications pointing towards a possible illicit relationship. Investigations are continuing, including interviews with the suspect’s family.
