In a powerful display of civic action, thousands from the Kushwaha community gathered in Ranchi, Jharkhand, to demand the re-implementation of a 27% OBC reservation quota. The protest, organized by the Jharkhand Kushwaha Mahasabha, took place at Lok Bhawan, near the Raj Bhavan. Thousands of supporters, hailing from areas including Barkagaon and Keredari, were led by Sohanlal Mehta, the central president of the Kushwaha Samaj Karnpura region.
Attendees actively participated in energizing slogan-shouting and vocalized their strong commitment to securing their rights. A significant pre-rally assembly was held at Mangal Bazaar Nyantand, where the community strategized and unified before marching towards Ranchi. This concerted effort aims to address the perceived disparities in the current reservation framework and advocate for greater inclusivity.
