In a productive meeting held on December 6, 2025, Palamu MP Vishnu Dayal Ram engaged with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, presenting a comprehensive list of railway development proposals for his constituency. The primary focus was on expediting the construction of two new railway lines: the Barwadih–Chirimiri–Ambikapur (182 km) and the Gaya (Sherghati)–Imamganj–Daltonganj (Kajari) (108 km) corridors. With detailed project reports already submitted, the MP sought confirmation on the commencement of construction, receiving a positive assurance from the minister. MP Ram also raised strong objections to the seasonal suspension of the Jharkhand Swarna Jayanti Express, demanding its immediate operational restart. He advocated for the re-establishment of the Triveni Link Express or, alternatively, a new train from Barwadih/Ranchi to Lucknow via Ayodhya. The MP further requested that the upcoming Vande Bharat trains (Ranchi–Varanasi and Tata–Varanasi) be routed via Daltonganj and other key stations in the region. The reinstatement of the Ranchi–Gorakhpur train through Daltonganj and Garhwa Road was also a key request. Enhancing connectivity, the MP requested stoppages for several trains at specific stations and proposed increasing the frequency of various services, including the Ranchi–New Delhi Garib Rath and the Kolkata–Ahmedabad train via Daltonganj, alongside extending the Howrah–Jabalpur Shakti Punj Express to Mumbai.
