A sophisticated operation by the Delhi Police has led to the arrest of three individuals involved in a cross-border liquor smuggling ring. The police seized 40 cartons containing 2,000 quarters of illicit liquor that originated in Haryana and was intended for sale in the Delhi region. The apprehended smugglers, Sunny, Riti alias Ritik, and Ajit, were caught during a raid in Najafgarh, with a TVS Jupiter scooter also confiscated. The successful bust was the result of sustained surveillance and intelligence gathering by the Dwarka District Special Staff team, focusing on the illegal liquor trade between Haryana and Delhi. This development signifies a major step in combating the clandestine distribution of untaxed and potentially dangerous alcoholic beverages. The investigation is ongoing to identify all accomplices.
